With the help of his personal trainer he began adjusting his diet, embarking on a remarkable weight loss journey. In tandem, he joined a weight loss program, which not only guided him on nutrition but also helped him establish a healthier relationship with food and address the emotional aspects of his eating habits.

In 2020, Rich underwent Gastric Bypass Surgery as a pivotal tool in his weight loss journey. Recognizing that long-term dietary restrictions weren’t sustainable, he embarked on a mission to reimagine his favorite recipes into lower-calorie, higher-protein versions that could be a permanent part of his success story.

But Rich’s journey was never just about him. He understood that he wasn’t alone in his struggle with weight and food. In 2021, he became a Certified Nutrition Coach and underwent a Fleur de lis Abdominoplasty to remove excess skin that hindered his progress.

Armed with his newfound knowledge and extensive culinary background, Rich teamed up with a group of nutrition professionals to create “Now We’re Cooking.” This culinary venture offers a treasure trove of over 250 recipes, all carefully crafted to help others achieve their dreams and reach their weight loss goals.
