Resolution

On New Year’s Eve, the old year takes its bow,

Another chapter ends, as time allows,

What will I achieve in the year ahead?

What resolution in my heart is spread?

New Year’s, a time for weight loss goals we set,

Yet many falter, filled with deep regret,

A cycle of despair, a dance of pain,

“As resolutions wane, and efforts lose their flame.”

But think of it as “New Days Eve,” my friend,

Each dawn’s a chance, a message to transcend,

A new day, a fresh canvas, open wide,

No need to wait for the turning of the tide.

With every sunrise, new hopes are born,

A chance to mend what yesterday was torn,

“If through the day your goals slip from your hand,

No matter, for tomorrow’s part of the plan.”

Failures won’t define the path you tread,

It’s in your successes your worth is spread,

Make every day a journey to progress,

For every day’s a chance to find success.
